Brooklyn
Family Brownstone

This Brooklyn Brownstone was purchased by a young family and re configured to once again be a single family home. On the parlor floor we mixed eclectic furnishings in the traditional setting of the original living room to give a modern twist to the space. Upstairs whitewashed floors make the more casual family room feel spacious and airy. All three bathrooms were completely renovated and we selected paint colors, wall coverings, furniture and fixtures for the entire home.

This 4500 square foot Hamptons beach house had been built by a local architect before being purchased by a London family as a summer retreat. After a summer of planning, the owner and Ms. Oefelein went on to hire a local architectural firm to implement extensive design changes. The additions created a comfortable and casual summer home for the owners and their family.

Mini Loft

This 750 square foot mini loft is located in Manhattans Financial districts former Cotton Exchange. When purchased by Ms Oefelein the unit ceilings had been lowered to 8, and the style of the fixtures and materials was dated. A complete gut job revealed a new ceiling height of 11. The new oak floors, larger windows, hidden heating system as well as the new kitchen and built in units create a space that feels contemporary, light and airy.

Bachelor Loft

Our bachelor banker client purchased this 2,500 square foot apartment in a high end loft building in Tribeca in relatively good condition. Previously owned by a family, we created a more urban and sophisticated home. FO Design had the floors refinished, added custom built-ins and cabinetry as well as a new fireplace mantel, and renovated the powder bathroom with new fixtures and a custom made chain curtain by DaisyCake.
