FO Design collaborated with their clients and the architectural team of Matthew Baird Design in this gut renovation of a home for a young family. The clients wanted to bring their downtown loft sensibility to this classic residence in a historic Upper West Side building. Beyond selections of furnishings, lighting, rugs, and accessories, FO Design was also involved in the planning of bathrooms, materials, and finishes.

FO DESIGN designed this 4000 square foot loft space for a young family in 2006. After a severe building flood damaged most of the apartment in 2009, the clients approached us again and this time around we were able to improve the design even further. The master bed room and children areas were re-configured, 3 bath rooms completely re-designed and new oak floors installed throughout. Contemporary furnishings and touches of bright colors reflect the clients current taste and lifestyle.

This spacious waterfront family retreat needed numerous finishing touches. When Ms Oefelein took on the job, she selected and designed window treatments, furnishings, rugs, lighting, accessories, and perhaps most importantly for the close-knit extended family outdoor seating and dining areas to make the most of the beautiful terraces and water views.

The glamorous, cosmopolitan style of repeat clients of FO Design a high profile cosmetics executive and her husband???was the inspiration for this glass box penthouse on Manhattan’s east side. The client’s love of bold colors and prints were complemented by custom and designer furnishings from a variety of sources. A wall of custom closets was added to the master suite to store the client’s extensive wardrobe and an unsightly butler’s pantry was converted into a dramatic and chic storage nook complete with Sputnik chandelier.
